At a speaking event in Arizona today, Attorney General Jeff Session gave a speech talking about the changes that need to be made in immigration laws and enforcement. The Department of Justice plans on adding 125 new immigration judges in the next two years via an expedited hiring process. Session also said that immigrants who cross the border a second time will be charged with a felony instead of a misdemeanor. In addition to this, Session plans on adding a border security coordinator for each U.S attorney's office.
Our Verdict: None of what Jeff Session spoke to in Arizona has actually been put into action or passed the Senate or the House, so as of now these are all just what he hopes to accomplish.
