Cities like Seattle have filed public record requests with the department of homeland security to seek information on what possible actions the government might take against cities that are openly being defiant of the immigration and refugee policies.
This comes in wake of the released document stating that Trump plans on going after all illegal immigrants who are a priority for deportation. Typically, those that are deported are convicted of serious crimes, but the Trump administration plans on deporting even those that have been arrested for traffic violations.
The mayor of Seattle may sue the administration if the plans are not released in a timely manner.
